The Lava Live Festival has been awarded the 2026 Tourism City Award of Arrecife in the Promotional Event category for its significant impact on promoting the capital’s tourism.
Preventos Media expressed gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the festival’s contributions to enhancing the cultural and tourism profile of Arrecife.
The festival, which began in 2024, has established itself as a key cultural event, attracting both national and international artists while promoting Lanzarote as a sought-after destination. Preventos Media shared the honour with everyone involved, from production teams to sponsors and festival-goers, who have made each edition a musical celebration.
Lourdes Santana, Artistic Production Director, noted, “We receive this award with immense gratitude and responsibility. Lava Live was born to create a unique musical event in Lanzarote, aiming to promote activity and showcase Arrecife.”
The festival organisers thanked the Town Hall of Arrecife and other public and private entities for their steadfast support over the years. The 2026 edition of Lava Live was successfully held in Arrecife in June and July.
The award ceremony will take place in October, coinciding with World Tourism Day, and will be hosted by the Town Hall. Preventos Media also congratulated other award recipients, including Hotel Lancelot and notable individuals from the community.
Santana remarked on the award’s motivational impact, stating, “This prize encourages us to keep working with enthusiasm. We want Lava Live to continue growing from Lanzarote and to keep creating experiences and opportunities to meet in Arrecife.”
The next Lava Live Festival is scheduled for 11 and 12 June, and 30 and 31 July 2027.
