Canary Islands Airports Handle 4.6 Million Passengers in July
In July, the airports in the Canary Islands welcomed 4,698,056 passengers, a 1.3% rise from the previous year. Of these, 2,224,719 travelled on domestic flights, marking a 4.3% increase, while 2,461,080 flew internationally, down by 0.1%.
Gran Canaria Airport led the numbers with 1,349,122 passengers, a 4.9% increase from July 2025. Tenerife South Airport followed, with 1,039,708 passengers, down 5%. Other notable figures include César Manrique-Lanzarote with 800,545 passengers (+0.2%) and La Palma with 146,151 (+9.1%).
During the month, airports managed 42,068 aircraft movements and transported 2,637 tonnes of cargo.
Year-to-Date Figures
From January to July, Canary Islands airports recorded 31,545,882 passengers, a decline of 0.4% compared to the same period in 2025. Within this, 12,871,994 used national flights (+0.5%), while international passenger numbers fell by 0.7% to 18,543,490.
In total, there were 282,879 aircraft movements and 18,018 tonnes of cargo transported in the first seven months of the year.
