Traffic Diversion on FV-3 for Antigua Link Works
From 11 to 13 August, drivers on the FV-3 road in Fuerteventura will face a temporary traffic diversion due to construction of the new Antigua link, part of the ‘Puerto del Rosario-La Caldereta’ project.
The diversion is necessary for the ongoing development of the new motorway, which will connect Antigua to the FV-20 and Puerto del Rosario. Traffic will be redirected via a new service road linking the Antigua junction to the new access roundabout near the hospital.
Work will take place during the day, roughly from 08:00 to 17:30, and will include the construction of the east roundabout at the Antigua link. The project also encompasses the connection to the hospital roundabout via the new service road.
Proper signage and safety measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of both workers and drivers. The island’s public works department advises motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and stay alert to temporary signage during the works.
