A man is in serious condition following a crash on the GC-1 motorway near Santa Lucía this Tuesday. The vehicle he was driving collided with the central reservation, according to emergency services 1-1-2 Canarias.

At 16:27, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) received reports of the incident. Firefighters secured the car and freed the driver from the wreckage.
Medical personnel from SUC assessed the victim, who suffered multiple serious injuries. He was then transported by ambulance to the Insular University Hospital in Gran Canaria.
The Guardia Civil managed traffic on the motorway and completed the necessary report. Road services were called in to clear the scene and reopen the road.
