First Edition of Teguise Gaming Finals Concludes
The Teguise Youth and Festivities Department, led by councillor Andoni Machín, in partnership with Lanzarote Gaming, has successfully hosted the inaugural Teguise Gaming competition, culminating in a final event at the Villa’s Casa de la Cultura.
Aimar Pérez, who triumphed in Tahíche, secured victory against Rayco Fontes, the Guatiza champion, in a closely contested final.
The competition wrapped up with an awards ceremony attended by Teguise Mayor Olivia Duque and Councillor Machín. The events took place across various venues within the municipality, including Teseguite, Muñique, La Graciosa, Tahiche, Los Cocoteros, La Caleta de Famara, and Guatiza, before the grand finale in Teguise.
The tournaments featured one-on-one matches in EA Sports FC 25 (football) and NBA 2K25 (basketball) hosted at local sociocultural centres.
The top two players received prizes worth €200 for the winner and €100 for the runner-up, which they redeemed for tech products at PC Box Arrecife.
