Rainfall was average, totalling 2.4 litres per square metre, which is exactly what was expected. Historically, however, this month was ranked as the 25th wettest since 1961.

Notably, tropical nights were prevalent from June 16, with the period between June 22 and 30 being particularly warm, affecting Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria. Though Gran Canaria also experienced warm nights from June 10 to 15, these were limited to the western part of the island.

The meteorological network recorded 78 maximum temperatures of 30ºC or higher, including 39ºC in Tejeda (Gran Canaria), 37ºC in Arure (La Gomera), and 36.3ºC in El Pinar (El Hierro).

Aemet noted that the month was dominated by high-pressure conditions and trade winds, with an Atlantic high sitting southwest of the Azores for much of this time. Additionally, the influx of the western edge of the African ridge kept temperatures slightly elevated until June 27, when the ridge shifted over the archipelago, causing a more intense warm air flow and dust haze, lasting until the end of the month.
