A man has tragically drowned this afternoon at Playa Blanca in Puerto del Rosario, marking the second such incident in the area within 24 hours.
Emergency services were alerted at 3:37 PM after reports surfaced that a man, who has yet to be identified, was found on the beach showing signs of drowning.
Rescue teams from SUC arrived to discover that the victim had been brought ashore by a zodiac boat but was in cardiac arrest. Despite advanced resuscitation efforts, they were unable to revive him, confirming his death on the scene.
