Charity Run in Tacoronte to Support Cancer Research
The Civil Guard of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has announced the third edition of the “Running for Life” charity race, set to take place on 12 September in Tacoronte.
The event begins at 10:00 with children’s races, culminating in a 6-kilometre run, with all proceeds going to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).
This year’s event emphasises healthy living and community involvement, reflecting the commitment of the Civil Guard to social initiatives under the slogan “Serving also means lending a hand.” Participants will don an official T-shirt featuring the message “6K for Cancer” alongside a green ribbon, a symbol of hope and support for the cause. Each registration contributes directly to cancer research, prevention, and support for patients and their families.
In addition to the race, there will be an exhibition of equipment used by various Civil Guard units, welcoming families regardless of their participation. Attendees can engage with teams including SEPRONA (Nature Protection Service), GREIM (Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group), and others, offering a close-up view of their daily work.
