These decisions followed a positive update from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), indicating no current risk alerts for the island. As a result, the council felt comfortable ending its emergency plan.

However, the General Directorate of Emergencies has noted that while the pre-alert for rain has been lifted across all islands, caution remains necessary. Seven trails in the Teide National Park above 2,700 metres are still restricted due to lingering ice and snow, with access limited to expert mountaineers with appropriate winter equipment.

Blanca Pérez, the council’s Minister for Natural Resources, Security, and Emergencies, stated that safety measures will stay in place due to the hazardous conditions in high-altitude areas. The affected trails include:

– PNT 07 Montaña Blanca-La Rambleta,
– PNT 09 Teide-Pico Viejo-Mirador de Las Narices del Teide,
– PNT 10 Telesforo Bravo,
– PNT 11 Mirador de La Fortaleza,
– PNT 12 Mirador de Pico Viejo,
– PNT 23 Los Regatones Negros,
– PNT 28 Chafarí.

These restrictions were implemented following adverse weather conditions reported on Sunday.
