Firefighters from the Lanzarote Consortium for Safety and Emergencies responded to two incidents on the night of 31 October and the early hours of 1 November.
The first call came at 10:30 PM on Saturday regarding a vehicle fire on the LZ-30 road, near the 19-kilometre mark close to Bodegas La Geria in Yaiza. Upon arrival, the firefighters found the vehicle engulfed in flames and quickly extinguished the fire using water. They then applied a moistening agent with ProPak equipment. Local police and the Civil Guard also attended the scene.
The second incident occurred at 4:35 AM on Sunday in the Los Lirios I residential area of Tías. Emergency services were alerted that a person had fallen in their home and required assistance. Unable to access the property, the firefighters forced the door by breaking the lock cylinder. Once inside, they collaborated with medical personnel to assist, immobilise, and evacuate the individual. They helped transport the person to an ambulance for further care. Local police and health services were also involved in the operation.
