Carlos Morales triumphs at Windsurfer Championship in Sardinia
Three members of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife competed in the Windsurfer Championship held recently in Olbia, Sardinia. Carlos Morales emerged as the standout performer, claiming the title in the “heavyweight” category after dominating the racing course across multiple heats.
Alongside Morales, Pedro Medina and Eric Yoldjoglou represented the club, with the former also competing in the “heavyweight” category, while Yoldjoglou participated in the “light heavyweight” category. The event saw significant turnout in the open category, serving as a valuable qualifier for the upcoming World Championship in South Africa.
Morales displayed consistent performance throughout the competition, achieving four race victories, two second-place finishes, and one third-place finish, placing him at the top of the overall standings in his category. Pedro Medina finished twelfth overall in the “heavyweight” category, while Yoldjoglou secured eleventh place in the “light heavyweight” division.
Julio Romero, president of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, along with the club’s board, congratulated Morales for his outstanding achievement and extended their congratulations to Medina and Yoldjoglou for their commendable performances in this prestigious European event.
