Jorge Blass is set to return to Tenerife this weekend after performances in Tías and Gran Canaria. The renowned magician will first perform in Arona on Friday at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium, followed by a show on Saturday, 10 October, in La Matanza de Acentejo, marking the debut of his latest production, ‘The Magic of Jorge Blass.’
There will be two performances each day at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. Ticket sales indicate strong interest, with the 8:30 PM show selling out, while some tickets remain for the earlier performance.
Blass, who has developed a close relationship with the Canary Islands over the years, sees this connection as twofold: places to which he returns because his shows are successful, and locations he considers his own. His performances have consistently received enthusiastic responses from audiences, making his seasonal returns a tradition.
In October, Blass presents a new show that reflects a contemporary approach to magic, suitable for a 21st-century audience, having already delighted audiences in Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.
‘The Magic of Jorge Blass’ maintains the essence of traditional illusionism, sparking wonder and making the impossible seem possible, but through a modern lens. The performance incorporates technology, innovative staging, and an engaging atmosphere that preserves the human element of surprise and connection between the magician and audience.
One of Blass’s trademarks is his ability to bridge the gap between the stage and the audience, making each show an interactive experience. His charm and humour ensure that spectators feel involved rather than just passive observers.
Blass’s act combines magic, technology, humour, and participation, appealing to audiences of all ages. He demonstrates that illusion can evolve while still igniting imagination and wonder.
The Canary Islands have become a staple in Blass’s schedule each season, bolstered by the loyalty of his fans and the bond he has forged with the islands. This October, he aims to leave his audience questioning the reality of what they’ve just witnessed as they leave the theatre.
