Amigos de Pájara, Camellito, and Las Apañás Qualify for NeuroCanarias Competition
The Neuromajo 2026-2027 finals took place today at the Playitas Sports Resort in Tuineje, attracting nearly 300 participants from across the region. Contestants took part in various events, including Relays, Aro Canario, Cifras y Letras, and Figuras de Colores, all in a spirit of camaraderie and active participation.
The teams that triumphed to qualify for the regional NeuroCanarias competition were Las Apañás from Puerto del Rosario in third place, Camellito from Tuineje in second, and Amigos de Pájara securing the top spot with the highest score.
The medals were awarded by Lola García, President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, and Victor Alonso, Councillor for Social Action. They were joined by mayors David de Vera (Puerto del Rosario), Alejandro Jorge (Pájara), and David Herrera (Tuineje), alongside councillors and other municipal representatives.
Neuromajo is a project supported by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura through the Department of Social Action, in collaboration with the Neurolímpica Association and all six municipalities. This year, Padilla Supermercados Spar, Grupo Barceló, and Dany Sport joined the initiative, promoting active ageing for seniors.
The regional NeuroCanarias 2026 competition is set to take place from 20 to 22 November in Pájara, featuring the island’s best teams.
To conclude the season, the Fuerteventura Palace of Training and Congresses in Puerto del Rosario will host the NeuroMajo 2026 Gala on 6 February 2027, celebrating the efforts of all participants throughout the year.
