Manuel Domínguez: No “Red Lines” Over Pact with Vox in Canary Islands
Manuel Domínguez, the leader of the Popular Party (PP) in the Canary Islands, announced on Friday that his party has no strict “red lines” concerning potential alliances ahead of upcoming elections. Speaking to the press, he stated, “The PP has not said we will not consider this,” adding that he aims to be honest with voters to avoid misleading them.
When asked about the possibility of partnering with Vox in the regional institutions, should a deal with Coalition Canaria not be feasible, Domínguez pointed out that the PP is already in coalition with Vox in the Canary Islands. He emphasised that his party remains open to future agreements, stating, “The Popular Party is currently working with Vox and would not hesitate to continue doing so, depending on the electoral agreements we can reach.”
Domínguez made these remarks while accompanying Borja Sémper, the PP’s national spokesperson and vice-secretary of Culture and Sport, who is visiting Tenerife to discuss cultural and sporting matters within the archipelago.
