Upon detecting the carcass on the beach, authorities notified both the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the Lanzarote Consortium for Security and Emergencies. Enrique Espinosa, the Consortium’s manager, stated that the appropriate protocol has been activated. The Department of Environment will approve the removal of the bull, which is expected to take place on Wednesday.

Such discoveries are not uncommon on the island. Over the years, various deceased animals have washed ashore, with some likely discarded from boats after their deaths.
