The event, part of ExpoDeca 2026, the third edition of the Canary Islands’ Sports and Physical Activity Fair, drew several dignitaries, including Poli Suárez, the Canarian Minister of Education, and Ángel Sabroso, the Vice Minister of Physical Activity and Sports.

Highlights of the exhibition include the boots worn by Andrés Iniesta when he scored the winning goal for Spain in the 2010 World Cup, alongside Usain Bolt’s shoes from the 2016 Rio Olympics. It also showcases three Olympic torches from the 1968, 1992, and 2004 Games, along with a team jersey worn by Miguel Induráin and various items from sports stars such as the Gasol brothers and Rafael Nadal.

Other notable artifacts include a commemorative shirt from Spain’s remarkable 12-1 victory over Malta in 1983, which secured their place in the Euro 1984 finals, and memorabilia from prominent female athletes like Vero Boquete and Carolina Marín.

Athletics is prominently featured, displaying items from athletes such as Ruth Beitia and Javier Sotomayor, as well as Eliud Kipchoge’s record-setting marathon shirt from Berlin in 2022. The exhibition also covers motorsport, highlighting equipment used by racing legends including Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz.

Additionally, the exhibition contains items from global sports figures, including boots from football stars like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and materials from tennis champions such as Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. A Ferrari Formula 1 car from 2017 and various items associated with Valentino Rossi add to the attraction.

Visitors can benefit from photographic displays, multimedia content, and accessible audio guides featuring voices of renowned Spanish sports journalists.

ExpoDeca at Las Arenas also includes displays of traditional Canarian sports and a collection of classic rally vehicles, enhancing the cultural experience for attendees.

As a Gold Sponsor, the Las Arenas Shopping Centre helps to broaden the event’s reach, promoting many festivities and activities during the main ExpoDeca event from 12 to 15 November at the Plaza de la Música and the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, which will feature over 400 activities across various sports, competitions, and exhibitions.
