The Tinasoria neighbourhood is currently celebrating its festivities in honour of San Genaro, organised by the local festivities committee, which includes residents from the Los Pitufos and Tinasoria associations, with support from Arrecife’s Town Hall led by Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio.
The events are taking place at the Estrella Machín Sports Centre. So far, attendees have enjoyed dance exhibitions, performances from local music groups including Pal Porrón and El Golpito, a tea party for seniors featuring Los Gurfines, as well as children’s and adult playback contests. The concerts and popular parties have also been popular, with the Pana Vi concert occurring recently. One of the highlights, the Drag Queen Gala, is set for tonight at 9 PM.
The celebrations continue tomorrow with a Canarian bowling tournament and the Miss Infantil Tinasoria competition, featuring performances from the ‘Lanzarote Baila’ dance school, followed by a community party with Rika Banda and Nueva Estela. On Saturday, the final of the Canarian bowling championship will take place, alongside the Miss Tinasoria Gala and a popular dance party featuring Tremendo Son and DJ Isja.
The festivities will wrap up on Sunday with a chocolate party, a zumba workshop, the Colour Festival, and a Water Carnival, all accompanied by Vocal Force. The evening will conclude with a popular BBQ and a fireworks display at 9 PM.
