Fuerteventura’s Technical Commission Reviews Local Works
The Fuerteventura Cabildo and Tuineje Town Council have met to discuss progress on various municipal construction projects as part of the Island Cooperation Plan.
During the meeting, the Commission highlighted completed and nearly finished works. One key development is the Tarajalejo Football Field, for which the Cabildo has agreed to allocate the necessary funds as requested by Tuineje Council, bringing the project closer to completion.
The Commission also reviewed the pedestrianisation project in Tesejerague, which is now 90% complete. This initiative aims to enhance mobility and safety for pedestrians. It will transform the area into an outdoor walkway with proper paving, green spaces, ample safety measures, and improved street lighting. Additionally, the project includes stormwater drainage and irrigation systems for the planned vegetation.
Other completed works mentioned include improvements to the road in Cardón and the demolition of an old tank and its adjacent facilities on Betancuria Street in Gran Tarajal.
