The Neuromajo 2026-2027 finals took place today at Playitas Sports Resort in Tuineje, attracting almost 300 competitors from across the island. Participants engaged in a weekend full of challenges, including Relevos, Aro Canario, Cifras y Letras, and Figuras de Colores, all set against a backdrop of camaraderie and active participation.

The three teams that qualified for the regional NeuroCanarias competition include Las Apañás from Puerto del Rosario in third place, Camellito from Tuineje in second, and the top team, Amigos de Pájara.

Medals were awarded by Lola García, President of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, alongside social action councillor Víctor Alonso and mayors David de Vera (Puerto del Rosario), Alejandro Jorge (Pájara), and David Herrera (Tuineje), along with other municipal representatives.

Neuromajo is a project spearheaded by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and the Neurolímpica Association, with support from the six local councils. This year, the initiative has also involved Padilla Supermercados Spar, Grupo Barceló, and Dany Sport, promoting active ageing among seniors.

The regional NeuroCanarias competition is scheduled for 20-22 November in Pájara, where it will showcase the best teams from the archipelago. The season will conclude with the NeuroMajo Gala on 6 February 2027 at the Fuerteventura Convention Centre in Puerto del Rosario, celebrating the efforts of all participants.
