Palabras al Vuelo 2026 Festival Set to Take Place Across Lanzarote
The Palabras al Vuelo 2026 festival will run from 8 to 18 October, offering a series of captivating storytelling performances across various locations in Lanzarote. This much-anticipated 14th edition aims to celebrate diverse voices and cultures through oral narration.
Artists from four countries and two continents will participate, each bringing extensive experience and promoting intercultural dialogue through storytelling.

The festival showcases a rich variety of contemporary oral storytellers, including:
- Wangari (Kenya): An expert in Africa’s vast oral traditions.
- Pepito Mateo (France): A notable figure in European oral storytelling.
- Pablo Albo (Albacete, Spain): A prominent children’s author and storyteller.
- Simone Negrín (Italy): A dynamic performer and training specialist in theatre.
- Estrella Escriña (Madrid): A skilled narrator and specialist in reading mediation.
- Isabel Bolívar (Tenerife): An accomplished oral storyteller and cultural manager.
- Patricia Sánchez (Salamanca): A visual storyteller renowned for her digital collages and theatrical posters.
Event Venues and Registration
The festival will bring enthralling tales to locations in Arrecife, San Bartolomé, Tías, Haría, and Yaiza. Due to limited seating, prior registration is mandatory for all performances. Registration opens on 28 September.
