Starting Tuesday, 3rd November, residents of Lanzarote and La Graciosa can purchase the new Consume Bonds, designed to support local businesses. This initiative, backed by the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the Chamber of Commerce, and Felapyme, allocates €500,000 to encourage household savings and stimulate local commerce.

Each bond is valued at €60, but consumers will only pay €30, with the remaining €30 subsidised by the local government.

The bonds will be available in two purchasing sessions to improve access. The first session begins at 8:00 am, offering 50% of the bonds, while the second session starts at 5:00 pm for the remaining half. Adults can buy a maximum of six bonds, providing up to €360 in spending power at participating shops for an outlay of just €180.

Purchases will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget runs out, available exclusively via the official website www.consumelanzarote.org.

Once purchased digitally, the bonds can be redeemed until 3rd December at participating retailers in Lanzarote and La Graciosa. They are solely digital and only valid in registered businesses.

This €500,000 investment aims to boost economic activity among small and medium-sized enterprises while helping families manage their everyday expenses.
