Diversions and Cancellations at La Palma Airport

Adverse weather conditions around Tenerife North Airport and La Palma Airport led to the diversion of seven flights and four cancellations on Thursday.

Aena reported that flights diverted from Tenerife North included one from Málaga, which was redirected to Gran Canaria, and others from A Coruña and Lanzarote, both sent to Tenerife South. Additionally, a flight from Gran Canaria returned to its origin, and another from Madrid was redirected to Tenerife South.

At La Palma, one flight originating from Tenerife North and another from Gran Canaria were sent back to their departure points, while a third flight from Madrid was also diverted to Tenerife North.

Later in the afternoon, a flight heading from Tenerife North to La Palma was redirected to Tenerife South.

La Palma witnessed a total of seven cancellations, five of which were from Tenerife North and two from Gran Canaria.
