Heatwaves are set to continue across Lanzarote this Friday, with the State Meteorological Agency extending its yellow warning for high temperatures. Conditions on 25 September could see local highs of 37 degrees, particularly in the interior regions.
This warning marks the third consecutive day that Lanzarote has been under a yellow alert for heat, especially noticeable during peak daytime hours. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain above 26 degrees in southern inland areas. Additionally, significant calima, a type of haze from dust, will persist in these regions. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing in from the northeast.
Earlier on Thursday, maximum temperatures reached 34 degrees in Tías, 33 in Tinajo, and 33.1 in San Bartolomé.
