Bermúdez expressed his eagerness to continue as mayor after serving the municipality for 13 years across two non-consecutive terms, with a total of four mandates between 2011 and 2019 and from July 2020 to the present. He aims to finish the political project he began years ago in the capital.

He shared his pride in leading the party list again, stating, “there is no greater honour for a chicharrero than to be the mayor of his city.” He emphasised the success of his current initiatives for the municipality and voiced his enthusiasm for completing the ongoing work. Bermúdez thanked his supporters, saying their backing strengthens his confidence in the upcoming elections, declaring, “We are going out to win.”
